Bacon Street Backpack Giveaway: August 12th, 10AM-2PM

Bacon Street Youth and Family Services will be holding their 4th Annual Backpack Drive August 12th to benefit students in Newport News, Williamsburg, and Gloucester schools! Backpacks filled with school supplies, snacks, and basic hygiene items will be available for over 300 children.

VB Schools Back-to-School Care Fair: August 12th, 10AM-2PM

Join VB Schools and over 100 youth-serving organizations, agencies and school division departments for an informational and fun-filled day that gives families the opportunity to connect with valuable resources which promote youth development and well-being. Free health screenings, school vaccines, backpacks and haircuts will be available at the event. Transportation to and from the event is available from Title One Schools.

Norfolk Public Schools is partnering with the City of Norfolk and other community organizations for “Unity in the Community: Back 2 School Celebration!”.
