The holiday season is the best time of the year and the perfect time to give back to the community. Each year, we work closely with Edmarc to provide them with toys and gifts to give to their kids and families. Edmarc provides family-centered home health and hospice for children with life-threatening illnesses through nursing, social, bereavement, and volunteer support. Their goal is to ease the gravity of pediatric illness and death, and provide care for the patient and family as a whole. Families never receive a bill for any service Edmarc provides thanks to generous community support.
Edmarc families truly benefit from any donation. The smiles and joy that they feel from these generous gifts and donations during what can be a hard time are priceless and you can be a part of that. Warm the hearts of these families this year!
There are a few ways to give back and help the kids and families in their program.
- Food baskets: We know the way to anyone’s heart is through delicious food. These donations for a Thanksgiving dinner gift basket or a Holiday dinner gift basket are going to make these families’ bellies happy and full. This will allow a family to have all the food and goodies that they would need for the holidays. Click here to see the shopping list.
- Gift donations: These donations are sure to make the family’s holidays merry and make sure that they along with their kids have something to make them feel special this holiday season.
- Volunteering: There are several ways to volunteer with Edmarc during the most wonderful time of the year. Including Thanksgiving dinner basket delivery, gift wrapping, and caroling for the gift delivery. Volunteering is good for the soul and good for Edmarc!
- Annual Holiday Party: Donate items to their annual holiday party to help make it over the top festive! Items they need include decorations, drinks, paper products, and other items to help make this evening a fun time for our bereavement support group, Peace by Piece.
